New For 2009

Dodge ZEO Concept

Quick Facts:
  • ZEO stands for Zero Emissions Operation.
  • Windshield glass continues into the roof of the car, going over the heads of the passengers.
  • Car can go 250 miles on a full charge.
  • Acceleration to 60 mph can be done in less than 6 seconds.

What will the car of the future be like? If Dodge has its way, it'll be a lot like the ZEO Concept.

ZEO stands for Zero Emissions Operation. That's because the car is purely electric.

A stack of lithium-ion batteries generates the equivalent of 268 horsepower. That's good enough to zip the car from 0 to 60 mph in less than 6 seconds.

Range is always an issue in an all-electric car, but the ZEO can go an impressive 250 miles before it needs to be recharged.

Inside, passengers will notice that the glass of the windshield continues up into the roof of the car, giving everyone a clear view of the outside world zipping by.

Will you see the ZEO on your neighborhood streets in the near future? Probably not. But as production costs continue to drop, and technology continues to improve, you may see ZEO's features in your future car.
