Los Angeles, CA -- (Sports Network) - England's Ricky Hatton and New York's Paulie Malignaggi will face off in a junior welterweight unification bout set for Las Vegas in November.

The match, which will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on November 22, will be for Hatton's Ring Magazine junior welterweight championship and Malignaggi's IBF title belt.

Hatton (44-1, 31 KOs), a two division world champion, fell short of the mythical pound-for-pound crown and world welterweight championships in his 2007 super fight against Floyd Mayweather. However, the 29-year-old bounced back impressively at his natural weight of 140 pounds in May as he scored a near shutout 12-round unanimous decision over Juan Lazcano.

"I am looking forward to returning to America, fighting again at the MGM Grand and challenging Malignaggi for his title," said Hatton. "Las Vegas is like a second home to me. The fans treat me like gold and I promise them another exciting value for money fight."

Known for his flashy style, Brooklyn's Malignaggi (25-1, 5 KOs) shut out Lovemore N'dou in 2007 to win the IBF junior welterweight crown and has since defended his title against Herman Ngoudjo and in a rematch against N'dou.

"I am thrilled to be involved in the biggest 140 pound fight of '08," Malignaggi said. "This will be my first fight in Las Vegas, which makes it all the more exciting."
