Tulsa, OK -- (Sports Network) - Ben Uzoh tallied 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Tulsa Golden Hurricane to a hard-fought 73-69 victory over the Houston Cougars in semifinal action of the College Basketball Invitational at the Donald W. Reynolds Center. Jerome Jordan added a double-double of 18 points and 15 rebounds for Tulsa (23-13), which will now take on Bradley in a three-game championship series. Rod Earls chipped in 11 points off the bench in the win, and Brett McDade contributed nine points. Robert McKiver poured in 30 points for Houston (24-10), while Kelvin Lewis posted 11 points. The Golden Hurricane went into the break with a 41-36 lead thanks to a 42.4 percent shooting effort from the floor, which included a 7-of-18 clip from long range. In the second stanza, Tulsa used tenacious defensive play, limiting Houston to a pathetic 32.4 percent effort, en route to the four-point win. The Golden Hurricane dominated the glass in the victory, outrebounding Houston by a whopping 52-32 margin.
