No. 5 Michigan State Crushes Oklahoma State

Orlando, FL -- (Sports Network) - Raymar Morgan had a game-high 29 points and the fifth-ranked Michigan State Spartans rebounded from their first loss of the season with a resounding 94-79 win over Oklahoma State in a losers' bracket game at the Old Spice Classic.Travis Walton added 16 points and five assists for the Spartans (3-1), who were knocked off by Maryland, 80-62, in an opening-round matchup. Kalin Lucas and Marquise Gray both scored 12, with Lucas dishing out 10 assists. Terrel Harris poured in 21 points to pace the Cowboys (4-2), who were dealt an 83-71 setback by ninth-ranked Gonzaga on Thursday. Obi Muonelo totaled 15 points, six rebounds and four assists in defeat. Oklahoma State controlled the game early on, leading 14-7 on a Byron Eaton layup. The Spartans, though, scored 12 straight points to grab a 19-14 lead with about 11 minutes to go in the first half. Morgan's three-point play extended the margin to 36-19 and Michigan State carried a 44-29 advantage to the break. The Spartans maintained a double-digit cushion throughout the entire second half. Game Notes Eaton finished with 14 points, five assists, four rebounds and three steals...James Anderson donated 13 points in the loss for Oklahoma State...Draymond Green pulled down eight boards for the Spartans...Michigan State shot a sizzling 59.3 percent from the field, including 5-of-10 from three-point range...The Cowboys made 42.9 percent of their attempts...The Spartans held a slim 36-34 edge on the boards.
