NCAA Game Summary - Missouri Vs. Xavier

San Juan, PR -- (Sports Network) - Terrell Holloway scored 12 points, including the go-ahead free throws with 1:21 left and four more in the final minute, and Xavier held on for a 75-71 win over Missouri in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off Classic. Derrick Brown scored 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds, and B.J. Raymond added 11 points for the Musketeers (3-0), who took advantage of free-throw struggles by the Tigers to come back for the win. Xavier advances to face Virginia Tech on Friday. DeMarre Carroll scored 17 points to lead Missouri (2-1), which made only 15- of-31 free throws in the loss. Leo Lyons scored 15 points, but made only 5- of-10 at the charity stripe, and J.T. Tiller added 13 points and five boards for the Tigers, who will play Fairfield on Friday. Mizzou led 70-66 after Carroll made one-of-two at the line with 2 1/2 minutes left, but Dante Jackson drained a three-pointer, and Carroll missed two free throws. Holloway drove the lane and drew the foul, and calmly sank both from the line with 1:21 left to put Xavier in front 71-70. Holloway made two more free throws with 9.5 seconds left and, after Zaire Taylor drew a foul but missed the front end, Holloway sealed the win with two more at the line with 4.2 seconds left. Xavier led 35-32 at the half.
