NCAA Game Summary - Oregon State At Nevada

Reno, NV -- (Sports Network) - Luke Babbitt dropped in a game-high 20 points and collected seven rebounds to pace the Nevada Wolf Pack in a 79-71 victory over the Oregon State Beavers in a non-league bout. Joey Shaw posted 15 points and eight rebounds for Nevada (2-1), while Malik Cooke turned in 14 points and six rebounds. Armon Johnson also got involved for Wolf Pack, recording a double-double with 11 points and 11 assists. Daniel Deane guided Oregon State (0-2) in defeat with a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds. Josh Tarver put forth 13 points and seven assists, while Roeland Schaftenaar chipped in with 12 points in the losing effort. The Beavers shot 56.5 percent from the field, including a 7-of-12 effort from downtown, in the first half, but still went into the break down 36-35. In the second half, Nevada made 5-of-8 three-pointers and 14-of-21 free throws, as it earned the eight-point win. Nevada won the battle on the boards, 35-27, including a 15-7 advantage on the offensive glass.
