NCAA Game Summary - U-N-L-V At Fresno State

Wednesday, December 3, 2008

(Sports Network) - Darris Santee scored 21 points, leading four players in double figures, as the UNLV Rebels slipped by the Fresno State Bulldogs, 82-76, in non-conference action at the Save Mart Center.

Tre'Von Willis added 18 points, Wink Adams 17 and seven boards, while Rene Rougeau tacked on 12 points and six rebounds in the triumph.

The Bulldogs (2-4) were paced by Paul George who tallied a game-high 24 points on 10-of-16 shooting from the floor, followed by Dwight O'Neil and Mychal Ladd with 21 and 13 points, respectively.

Despite shooting only 2-of-8 beyond the arc and missing both chances at the free-throw line in the first half, the Rebels held a narrow 32-31 lead at the break.

In the second half UNLV took advantage of 14-of-19 shooting at the stripe and held the home team to just 6-of-17 out on the perimeter in order to record the six-point win.

In a game that saw eight ties and 19 lead changes, FSU was guilty of 18 turnovers, which the Rebels cashed in for 19 points.
