Long Beach, CA -- (Sports Network) - Donovan Morris scored 30 points to help the Long Beach 49ers knock off the New Mexico State Aggies, 82-77, in non- conference action.

Casper Ware pitched in 15 points in the victory for Long Beach State (3-2).

Jahmar Young tallied 17 points in the loss for New Mexico State (2-2), which got 16 points and 11 rebounds from Wendell McKines. Both Troy Gillenwater and Robert Lumpkins contributed 11 points for the Aggies.

New Mexico State shot 53.6 percent from the floor in the first half and led 36-35 at intermission.

Fortunately for the 49ers, they were able to connect on 60.9 percent of their field goal attempts in the second half to claim the victory.

A 20-8 advantage in points from the foul line played a major role in the win for Long Beach State.
