NCAA Game Summary - Northeastern At South Florida

Tampa, FL -- (Sports Network) - Dominique Jones netted a game-high 20 points and ripped down six caroms, as the South Florida Bulls stopped the Northeastern Huskies, 55-37, in non-conference play at the Sun Dome. Aris Williams turned in 11 points and seven rebounds for USF (3-1), while Jesus Verdejo chipped in with 10 points in the winning effort. Manny Adako was the only player for Northeastern (3-3) to score in double figures, tallying 10 points. The 37 points is the fewest for the Huskies since scoring only 37 at Connecticut in 1996. The Bulls closed out the first half with an 11-0 run, as they took a 22-11 lead at the intermission. USF shot 50.0 percent from the field over the last 20 minutes of play and claimed the 18-point win. The Huskies made just 24.1 percent of their attempts from the floor and only 1-of-9 from long range in the setback.
