NCAA Game Summary - Northwestern At Brown
Saturday, November 22, 2008
Providence, RI -- (Sports Network) - Craig Moore scored a career-high 31 points on 11-of-15 from the floor as Northwestern beat Brown, 73-64, in non- conference action. Moore hit a school-record nine three-pointers in the victory, eight of which came in the first half. Michael Thompson added 15 points and dished out five assists for Northwestern (3-0), who also got 10 points from Kevin Coble. Matt Mullery and Peter Sullivan led the way with 17 and 16 points, respectively, for Brown (1-3), which had four players score in double figures. Northwestern built a 48-26 halftime lead thanks in part to a 60 percent shooting performance. Brown crept back in to the game on outstanding shooting of its own, as the Bears hit over 70 percent from the floor in the second half. Unfortunately, the strong effort was not enough to overcome the intermission deficit. Northwestern turned the ball over a mere four times in the game, including none in the first half, which helped guide the team to victory.
