Seattle, WA -- (Sports Network) - Quincy Pondexter tallied 16 points and 12 rebounds, as the Washington Huskies notched a 72-54 win over the Pacific Tigers in a non-league matchup at Bank of America Arena. Justin Dentmon chipped in with 15 points for the Huskies (3-3), who are off to a good start on their eight-game, 32-day homestand. Jon Brockman, who entered the game averaging 18 points and 12 rebounds per game, finished with 13 points and six boards. Terrell Smith paced Pacific (2-2) with 12 points, and Chad Troyer finished with 10 in the loss. Washington had the hot hand in the first half, as the Huskies shot 15-of-28 (53.6 percent) from the floor to grab a 36-26 halftime lead. The Huskies extended their lead to 45-29 on a three-pointer by Dentmon at the 15:28 mark of the second half, and they never looked back. Washington utilized its size advantage in this one, out-rebounding the Tigers, 46-20 for the game. The Huskies held a 22-6 edge in offensive boards.
