NCAA Game Summary - Miami-Florida At Virginia

(Sports Network) - Jacory Harris threw a touchdown pass in the final minute of regulation and another in overtime to lead the Miami Hurricanes to a 24-17 win over the Virginia Cavaliers in an ACC showdown at Scott Stadium.

Harris finished the game completing 12-of-21 pass attempts for 160 yards and two scores. Graig Cooper paced the Miami (6-3, 3-2 ACC) ground attack carrying the ball 24 times for 131 yards.

The Cavaliers (5-4,3-2 were led by quarterback Marc Verica who completed 27- of-41 pass attempts for 240 yards and a score. Kevin Ogletree hauled in five passes for 71 yards. Cedric Peerman carried the load for Virginia, carrying the ball 15 time for 78 yards.

Virginia opened up the first quarter scoring with a 23-yard field goal by Yannick Reyering.

Miami took a 7-3 lead minutes later on a six-yard TD run by Robert Marve.

Virginia answered on its next drive, taking a 10-7 lead on a 16-yard touchdown run by Ogletree.

The Hurricanes tied the game early in the second quarter on a 33-yard field goal by Matt Bosher.

Virginia closed out the first half scoring with a two-yard touchdown pass from Verica to Jared Green, giving the Cavaliers a 17-10 lead at the break.

After more than 19 minutes of scoreless football, Miami tied the game in the final minute of regulation, as Harris found Laron Byrd from 26 yards out with 55 seconds remaining.

The Hurricanes made good use of their first possession in overtime, as Harris hooked up with Aldarius Johnson from nine yards out to give the Hurricanes a 24-17 lead. Miami recovered a fumble on Virginia's possession, sealing the road victory.

Miami dominated the Cavaliers on the ground, 197-78, on the day.
