Reno, NV -- (Sports Network) - Luke Lippincott gained 217 total yards and scored five total touchdowns in Nevada's bowl-clinching 49-10 victory over Western Athletic Conference foe Louisiana Tech at Mackay Stadium.

The Wolf Pack (6-6, 4-4 WAC) are now bowl eligible thanks to dominant performances on both sides of the ball. Lippincott rushed for 112 yards and four short touchdowns on the ground. He was also effective as a receiver, catching four ball for 105 yards and a touchdown. Not to be outdone, Colin Kaepernick had an outstanding day behind center, hitting 18-of-29 through the air for 404 yards and three touchdowns. Kyle Sammons put an exclamation point on his final home game, hauling in eight passes for 199 yards and two touchdowns. The defense kept the Louisiana Tech offense out of the end zone and held the Bulldogs to just 228 total yards while forcing three fumbles.

Phillip Livas provided the only highlight of an otherwise forgetful outing for the Bulldogs (5-7, 4-4), who fumbled away their chance to become bowl eligible. Livas ran back a kickoff 78 yards for a touchdown late in the third quarter to account for the team's lone touchdown. He also bought down three passes for 52 yards. Zac Champion was ineffective at the helm, throwing for 114 yards while connecting on just 9-of-23 passes. Patrick Jackson led an anemic rushing attack with 66 yards on 21 carries.

Lippincott's big day began early, as he punched in a one-yard touchdown just two minutes into the game.

Late in the first quarter, Kaepernick connected with Sammons for their first touchdown from 16 yards out.

The Wolf Pack went up three scores on Lippincott's second one-yard touchdown midway through the second quarter.

La Tech had to settle for a Danny Horwedel 20-yard field goal late in the second frame, and Nevada led 21-3 at halftime.

The Wolf Pack didn't waste any time after the break, as Kaepernick and Sammons hooked up again, this time for a 74-yard touchdown on just the third snap of the half.

Back-to-back Lippincott touchdown runs, from three and one yards out, respectively, gave Nevada a commanding 42-3 lead deep into the third period.

After the second touchdown, Livas took the kickoff to the end zone 78 yards for the Bulldogs' only touchdown.

A minute and a half into the fourth quarter, the two Nevada offensive threats hooked up to put the nail in the Bulldog coffin, as Lippincott took a Kaepernick pass 11 yards to pay dirt.

From the opening kickoff to the final gun, the Wolf Pack dominated every aspect of the game, out-gaining Louisiana Tech by 413 total yards.
