Carmen Gimenez Smith is the author of a memoir titled "Bring Down the Little Birds," four poetry collections, and three chapbooks. She has co-edited a fiction anthology titled "My Mother She Killed Me, My Father He Ate Me" and received an American Book Award, the Juniper Prize for Poetry, and a fellowship from the Howard Foundation. Editor-in-chief of Puerto del Sol and publisher of Noemi Press, Gimenez Smith teaches at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces.This event will be held in Room 225/229 of the library.
