Spine-Pulling Technique Relieving Back Pain Without Surgery

There's now an option that has many people finding back pain relief without going under the knife. Ninety-percent of adults will have back pain at least once during their lifetime.

Last year, Rick Terrana hurt his back. He couldn't walk or sit in a chair without being in pain. Rick's back is better now. In fact, he recently ran his first half marathon with his wife, Talpha.

"I really felt good to cross the finish line, and most importantly, I had a lot of pain, but none of it was back pain," said Rick.

Before Rick said "yes" to surgery, he tried one last treatment. It involved a machine called the DRX 9,000. It's a machine that literally pulls the spine apart, thus relieving the pressure on the discs. Doctor Luis Crespo says the technology is so precise, doctors can pinpoint the exact problem area.

Surgery-Free Back Treatment

"By changing the level and the angle of the pull, we can target the specific disc that's affected instead of just pulling the entire spine," said Dr. Crespo.

"It's a very restricted, well-defined pull right in the area of the problem," said Rick.

This treatment is for patients with any disc related problem. Studies show nine out of 10 patients significantly reduce their back pain after 20 treatments. Dr. Crespo also says there are no side effects.

"This thing snapped me right out of it in a matter of 10 or 20 treatments," said Rick.

It saved Rick from surgery and, instead, put him on a new path.

The DRX 9,000 is FDA approved and used by medical doctors and chiropractors. The cost of the standard treatment of 20 sessions starts around $3,500. Not all insurance companies will cover the cost.
