As talk of a second stimulus package heats up, see how people spent their first check.

On Howispentmystimulus.com users are encouraged to upload a picture of what they bought with their stimulus checks and write up a short description about how it has affected their life.

Some people used their money to improve their personal hygiene, “The extra money made me feel better about spending $100 on a toothbrush. I’ve only had it for a day, but I love it,” Ben Goldberg of San Diego, Calif., wrote.

Others such as Jason from Lake Linden, Mich., used his for personal security. "Since police departments in this state have no funding and the criminal justice system clearly doesn't work to protect civilians, I spent my rebate on a new 9 mm handgun, ammo, a concealed weapons class and permit, and a sexy leather holster to wear every day.”

Alfredo Alpaca, 49, a politician from Brownsville, Texas, used his stimulus check to fund his career aspirations. "It wasn't much, but I bought, or pre-paid, $500 in posters for my next political campaign. It's money from a Republican administration (I'm Republican), so maybe this will be my turn to win!" Alpaca posted on the site.

Even if you’re doing something a little less extravagant and saving your money, the site welcomes your entry. "I put it straight into a college savings plan....It's not a sexy purchase, I know, but I don't see the government doing much to defray the rising cost of education," John Dingfield, 44, of Chicago, wrote.

Howispentmystimulus.com creator Rudy Adler 26, of Brooklyn, N.Y., said a lot of his favorite entries can be found on the weird section of the site.

"We had one guy, who said he used his stimulus check to bail himself out of jail," Adler said. "I didn't ask what he was in for."

Adler is currently in talks to publish a book from user entries.
