Andersen Heads Back To Denver

POSTED: 1:30 pm PDT July 24, 2008

(Sports Network) - The Denver Nuggets signed forward Chris Andersen to an undisclosed contract Thursday.

The 6-foot-10, 228-pound versatile forward began his career with Denver in the 2001-02 campaign. After spending three seasons with the club, he hooked up with the New Orleans Hornets in 2004.

In early 2006, Andersen was suspended for two years by the NBA for violating the league's drug policy. He signed with the Hornets after being reinstated last season and played in five games, recording 1.2 points and 1.8 rebounds per outing.

For his six-year career, the 30-year-old has compiled averages of 5.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.34 blocks in 258 games.
