Multiple Stabbings And Shootings Kill 3 In San Jose

Saturday night turned into a night of bloodshed in San Jose, as two shootings and three stabbings left three dead and two injured as of Sunday morning.

San Jose police are investigating three homicides from Saturday night and this morning that appear to be unrelated, police Officer Jermaine Thomas said.

The most recent incident was a shooting in the 2700 block of Croft Avenue just before 5 a.m., where officers responded to shots fired and found a 21-year-old man dead, Thomas said.

Apparently the neighbors heard the shots and heard a woman screaming.

Police are searching for two suspects. One is a man who is about 22 years old and about 6 feet tall and 245 pounds. The other suspect is described as skinny and about 5 feet 6 inches.

Earlier Sunday morning, three people were reportedly stabbed and one of them was pronounced dead around 3 a.m. in the 3400 block of Chapala Drive.

The two who went to the hospital suffered non-life threatening injuries, he said.

No suspect information was available.

At about 10:20 p.m. on Saturday, officers responded to a shooting in the 400 block of Sanders Avenue and found a man, about 25 years old, suffering from gunshot wounds, Thomas said. The victim was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

On Sunday, police continued to search for three suspects in the case. Two of them are men, possibly between the ages of 19 to 23 years old. One is about 5 feet 9 inches tall with a thin build and the other is about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 160 pounds. Police are also searching for a female who is about 5 feet 3 inches and about 120 pounds.

No suspects have been arrested in any of the incidents.
