ALAMEDA, Calif. -- Alameda police found two people shot to death inside their home Wednesday morning in a possible murder-suicide, a police lieutenant said. A friend of the two called police around 6 a.m. and requested a welfare check to their home in the 100 block of Keil Bay, police Lt. Bill Scott said. They each appeared to have died from a single gunshot wound, Scott said. He said he could not discuss what prompted the friend to call police. The Alameda County coroner's bureau is expected to perform autopsies on the pair on Friday.
