CHP Looking For Witnesses To Fatal Pedestrian Accident

SONOMA, Calif. -- The California Highway Patrol was looking for witnesses Tuesday to a fatal vehicle-pedestrian crash that happened Monday morning in unincorporated Sonoma County. Constancia Morsiquillo, 81, of Sonoma, was hit by a Ford Thunderbird driven by Jesus Garibaldi Mora, 69, of Sonoma, according to the CHP. The crash happened around 7:15 a.m. as Morsiquillo was crossing Verano Avenue near Maxwell Farms Regional Park in the unincorporated community of El Verano. She died later Monday at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. CHP Officer Gerald Rico said Mora was not arrested and the incident remains under investigation.
