Dog Has 21 Puppies

Family Likely To Give Puppies Away

An American Bulldog in Illinois gave birth to 21 puppies several weeks ago, St. Louis television station KPLR reported.

It took more than 20 hours for Daisy Mae to deliver her 21 pups. Four of the puppies died during delivery, but the rest of the litter is healthy.

When asked if they plan to breed Daisy Mae again, her owners responded, "No. We're going to retire her. This is enough!"

The proud father of the litter is a registered Bulldog named, Groucho, who is owned by a friend of Daisy Mae's family.

The family will likely give most of the puppies away.
