BERKELEY, Calif. -- The fourth and final suspect wanted in connection with a May shooting and subsequent car crash that left three people dead in the East Bay was arrested Tuesday afternoon in Sacramento, a Berkeley Police Department spokesman said. Rafael Campbell, 25, was taken into custody at about 12:45 p.m. in connection with the May 16 fatal shooting of Charles 'CJ' Davis, 25, police spokesman Andrew Greenwood said. A high-speed chase into Oakland followed the shooting. Two bystanders were killed when the suspects' vehicle crashed, ending the chase. Campbell was profiled on "America's Most Wanted" on Nov. 7 and the U.S. Marshal's Service had been investigating his whereabouts, according to Greenwood. U.S. Marshals, working with state and local authorities, attempted to contact Campbell Tuesday at a ground-floor apartment at 4500 Natomas Crossing Road in Sacramento but he allegedly fled out of the rear of the apartment, Greenwood said. A police K-9 unit and officers who had surrounded the complex then apprehended him, according to Greenwood.“Sacramento police department canines chased him down and brought him down to the ground, where he was taken into custody," said Lt. Greenwood. Samuel Flowers, 21, was arrested in Bal Harbour, Fla., about a week after the incident on suspicion of grand theft, petty theft and resisting arrest. The other two suspects, 24-year-old Oakland resident Anthony Price and 22-year-old San Leandro resident Stephon Anthony, were arrested just after the crash. The incident began shortly after 6:30 p.m. when a Berkeley police officer heard gunshots in the area of Allston Way and 10th Street in west Berkeley. Officers responded and found Jones on Allston Way west of San Pablo Avenue. He had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. As they were arriving, officers saw a Cadillac occupied by four men speeding away from the area and chased it into Oakland. The chase ended when the Cadillac crashed into a Mazda and a pedestrian at Aileen Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Way, killing both the driver, 27-year-old Brentwood resident Todd Perea, and the pedestrian, 41-year-old Berkeley resident Floyd Ross.Diane Carroll, the cousin of Davis, was hoping the November 7th airing of ‘America's Most Wanted’ featuring the case would bring about compassion from a viewer to turn-in Campbell. The exposure appears to have worked."I'm just glad that Rafael has been caught and I just want justice to be served,” said Carroll. “I'm ready for a trial. I'm ready for all four of them to now face a jury of their peers and get what they have coming to them."Officials told ‘America's Most Wanted’ that Campbell was spotted in Hayward just eight days ago and was almost captured then.
