BRENTWOOD, Calif. -- Brentwood police arrested a Heritage High School teacher on Friday on suspicion of soliciting a female student for sex, Brentwood police Lt. Tom Hansen said Tuesday. Darin Price allegedly contacted a student on Thursday and tried to entice her to perform sexual acts, Hansen said. Police do not believe that the girl had any physical contact with Price. Price remained in county jail Tuesday on suspicion of contacting a minor with the intent to commit a sexual offense, arranging to meet a minor for sexual purposes and annoying or molesting a child. His bail has been set at $95,000. Hansen said investigators were planning to meet with the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office this afternoon to present the case. According to the school's Web site, Price taught math and was head of the girl's basketball team. Representatives from the high school and from the Liberty Union High School District were not immediately available for comment.
