MONTEREY CO., Calif. -- A 41-year-old parolee was arrested in Prunedale last week after authorities more than an ounce of crystal methamphetamine and $4,500 in cash in his possession, according to the Monterey County Sheriff's Office.Sheriff's deputies had received an anonymous tip that a wanted parolee was staying on Echoe Valley Road in Prunedale and established a surveillance of the area, the sheriff's office reported.On Friday, deputies spotted the suspect, John Matthew Justice, leaving a home on that street in a vehicle and stopped him on a mechanical vehicle code violation, according to the sheriff's office. Justice was found to be driving on a suspended license and was arrested on a felony no-bail warrant, the sheriff's office reported.He also allegedly had more than an ounce of crystal methamphetamine packaged for sales and $4,500 in cash on him, and a 29-year-old woman in the car had a methamphetamine bindle hidden under her seat, according to the sheriff's office.Deputies searched Justice's home in Prunedale and allegedly found more methamphetamine, methamphetamine packaging, scales, four illegally possessed firearms, ammunition and suspected stolen property from a series of residential burglaries in the area, according to the sheriff's office.Justice was booked into county jail.
