NAPA -- Police said Tuesday that the two women who were killed in an upstairs bedroom of their Napa home died of multiple stab wounds.
Cmdr. Andy Lewis said an autopsy was conducted Tuesday on 26-year-old Adriane Michelle Insogna and Leslie Ann Mazzara, also 26.
They were found around 2:07 a.m. Monday in an upstairs bedroom of the home they were renting in the 2600 block of Dorset Street in West Napa.
A third resident of the home heard a struggle, fled unharmed and called police on a cell phone.
Insogna was employed by the Napa County Sanitation District and was a part-time student at Napa Valley College. She was also a volunteer scorekeeper for the Napa County women's volleyball team, Lewis said.
Mazzara was employed with the Niebaum-Coppola Estate Winery in Rutherford, Lewis said.
Police have not commented on a motive for the murders.
