RENO - Diamond Peak Resort recently recorded over four feet of snow and has spent this past week grooming and maintaining the fresh powder.

Diamond Peak is a popular Tahoe destination for vacationers and with the recent snowfall, sales are also improving. But before the recent storm hit the region, Diamond Peak had 30 to 40 percent of runs open.

General Manager Brad Wilson has operated the resort for three seasons now and he says current conditions are as pristine as they get. “I just skied some trails that I haven’t seen open or groomed since I’ve been here,” he said.

The resort is putting its snow guns to rest in hopes the weather will provide enough snow to finish out the season. Diamond Peak Resort puts snow guns to rest
