RENO -- The ongoing investigation into the shooting last Friday that took the life of a juvenile and injured another has led to the arrest of a second suspect.
18-year-old Miguel Angel Gonzalez, who was already in police custody in the Lyon County jail for unrelated charges, has been charged with Open Murder and Attempted Murder. Gonzalez is now being held on the warrant in Lyon County.
Last Friday, the Reno Police Department responded to the area of Capital Hill and Locust St. on the report of a shooting. One victim was killed and another wounded. On Wednesday, investigators arrested made their first arrest in the case when they apprehended 26-year-old Gustavo Alvizar and charged him with Open Murder and Attempted Murder.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld due to his age (16).
