RENO --A local couple was arrested for allegedly stealing over $500,000 from the wives employer.

In May of 2012 Quadrant Information Services, a local business, contacted the Reno Police Department regarding one of their employees that they suspected of embezzling from the company. An internal audit by QIS revealed that 37-year-old Heather Denning, one of their managers, had possibly embezzled in excess of $500,000.00.

A two month long investigation by the Reno Police Department Financial Crimes Unit revealed that Denning was assisted by her husband, 40-year-old Eric Denning. On June 28, 2012, both Heather and Eric Denning, Reno residents, were arrested.

Heather Denning has been charged with Embezzlement, Money Laundering, Burglary, Theft, Forgery, Uttering a Forged Instrument.

Eric Denning has been charged with Embezzlement, Money Laundering, Burglary, Theft.

The bail for each defendant has been set at $500,000.00 cash only.
