RENO -- A man and woman were arrested for allegedly running a fraud operation that included it's own financial forgery laboratory.

Tuesday at around 1:20 pm RPD officers were sent to the parking lot of the Office Max, 6013 S. Virginia St., Reno, on a report of two suspicious persons that were trying to purchase electronics with several different credit cards. The subjects were detained by the patrol officers and they were found to be in possession of forged credit cards. Detectives from RPD’s Financial Crimes Unit then went to the scene and ultimately discovered a financial forgery laboratory in the subject’s vehicle.

32-year-old Jason Arlen Cozine was arrested for possession of a financial forgery laboratory, two counts of possession of a stolen credit card, two counts of burglary, two counts of  identity theft and three counts of possession of a forged instrument. His bail is $140,000.00

22-year old Olivia Margarite Rich was arrested for possession of a financial forgery laboratory and possession of a forged instrument. Her bail is $30,000.00.

Both defendants are not from the Reno area and they have recently passed through the Douglas County and Carson City area but it is unknown at this time if they committed any fraud related crimes in these areas.
