Man arrested for armed-robbery of Atlantis Casino

 

RENO -- One man tried but failed, and was arrested, for attempting to pull of a casino armed robbery last night at Atlantis Casino.

Last night the suspect entered the Atlantis Hotel Casino; he contacted an employee, displayed a hand gun and demanded money.  The employee handed the suspect an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect then fled from the casino on foot.

Two employee’s witnessed the crime and gave chase north bound through the strip mall parking lot adjacent to the casino.  The suspect, identified as 28-year-old Paul Khan, dropped the money and continued north bound through the lot.  Officer Roger Espinoza was working a traffic assignment when he was hailed by one of the involved employee’s.

Officer Espinoza and Officer Pruyn located the suspect to the rear of a local business on South Virginia and took him into custody without incident.  The suspect was positively identified by the victim and witnesses, all of the money was recovered as was the suspects air soft hand gun.

Khan was arrested on count of armed robbery.
