SPARKS -- Police have taken off the streets a man who allegedly exposed himself to children on more than one occasion.

Saturday afternoon at around 12:45 pm, Sparks Police officers responded to a report of a male subject exposing himself to children who were walking by his vehicle in the 2300 Block of Greenbrae Drive.  As officers arrived in the area, the suspect, who was later identified as Robert Joseph Jones, a 48 year old Sparks resident, was observed leaving the area in a dark red 1996 two door Chevrolet Blazer with Nevada handicap plates.  Jones was stopped by officers and ultimately admitted to the offense.

Two 14 year old female Sparks residents were identified as victims.

Jones was arrested for indecent exposure and was booked into the Washoe County Detention Facility with $5000.00 bail.

The investigation revealed that Jones has been seen frequenting this same area in the past and also has been seen in the area of Cannan Elementary School near Silverada Boulevard in Reno.

The Sparks Police Department is encouraging anyone who observes someone loitering in areas where children frequent to contact their local police agency.
