SPARKS -- A fight between a boyfriend and girlfriend ended with the man in the hospital from stabbing wounds and the woman in jail.

Early this morning at around 5:30 Sparks Police Officers responded to the report of a stabbing at 7010 Sacred Circle.  The male victim called the police department and reported his girlfriend, suspect Deshanna Elaine Graham, had stabbed him multiple times.  He then barricaded himself in the bedroom to protect himself from Graham and waited for officers to arrive on scene.

When officers arrived on scene Graham was initially uncooperative and closed the door on them but opened it shortly thereafter.  Officers confirmed the victim had been stabbed multiple times in the back and the back of his shirt was covered in blood.  The investigation determined that the victim and Graham were in a verbal argument over their relationship.  During the argument Graham retrieved a knife and when the victim walked away from her she stabbed him repeatedly in the back.  Graham admitted to stabbing the victim and the knife was recovered as evidence.

The victim was transported to Renown Medical where he received treatment for non life-threatening stab wounds.  Graham was arrested and booked at the Washoe County Detention Facility for Battery with a Deadly Weapon and Domestic Battery.  Her bail is $23,000.00
