Police rule couple's death as murder/suicide

RENO -- The investigation into the deaths of a husband and wife (named below) who were discovered on November 20, 2012 has been determined to be a murder suicide.

On November 20th, police found two bodies in a Reno residence at 1404 Copper Point Circle. They were later identified as married couple, 37-year-old Anna Kelsay and 48-year-old Rick Kelsay. The victims appeared to be victims of gunshot wounds.  Robbery Homicide Detectives responded to the scene and took over the investigation.

Although there were initial indications that pointed to murder-suicide, investigators wished to conduct some interviews and review some evidence before making a final determination.  The statements and evidence obtained show that husband Rick was upset over marital issues when the two met on the 20th of November at around 3 pm.  The physical evidence also proves that Rick shot Anna twice before taking his own life.

Investigators believe that the incident occurred sometime between 3 pm and 6 pm, but they were not discovered until around 6:30pm by a friend of Anna’s.

There was no known history of violence between the two.
