RENO -- The Washoe County Sheriff's Office Special Operations and Investigations Division is investigating a death involving an undisclosed deceased male that was located inside a residence in south Reno.

Monday morning at around 8, Washoe County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a possible deceased individual on Taurus Circle in the Virginia Foothills. Deputies arrived at the location and discovered a male, later determined to be deceased, inside the residence.

Due to the circumstances surrounding this case, Sheriff's Detectives were called out to continue the investigation.

This is an ongoing investigation. The cause of death is pending a medical examination which will be completed by the Washoe County Medical Examiner's Office.  The decedent's name is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
