RENO -- A 19-year-old is recovering from injuries sustained in a shooting that occurred on Saturday.
Saturday morning at around 1:30, officers with the Reno Police Department responded The Silver Terrace Apartments at 1600 Wedekind Road in response to a victim being shot during an altercation. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the torso but is currently in stable condition after surgery.
The shooting is possibly gang related.
The 19-year-old male victim has not been identified.
Reno Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect(s). Anyone having information relating to this crime or the suspect(s) should contact the Reno Police Department at 334-2188, Secret Witness at 322-4900, www.secretwitness.com, or text the tip to 847411 (TIP 411) keyword - SW.
Secret Witness is offering a reward in the amount of $1,000.00 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect(s).
