S. Rowan Wilson - Positions

  • DISGUST at how money has and is continuing to be spent by our government, particularly the city council.
  • The belief that one should not just complain about something but oh, actually DO something about the situation (gee, take action!)
  • It might be nice to actually use my MBA in Finance. Though, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to go over the publicly disclosed, yearly City of Reno Audit and budget info (see my links page ;-) let alone some chick with an MBA who has financed multimillion dollar real estate projects to see that oh, the city has been gambling poorly with our money. (Heck, most of the casinos wouldn't take even outside bets on half this crap!$%^&)
  • Ballot Fatigue is in my favor if people who fiscally give a damn actually vote  = Less than 25% of people who vote get to the end of the ballot where the Most Important things impacting their lives are: LOCAL ISSUES/ELECTIONS!
  • If I'm not elected, I can still certainly be a lady to cause a ruckus attempting to call attention, bringing transparency to the city's awful fiscal situation.
    • I am not a politician nor am I planning on a career in politics so what do I have to lose?
    • I am beholden to no special interests.
    • NEITHER am I working for a company which may benefit by one of its employees running for city council let alone be elected (ehem, unlike some of my opponents!)
    • This is not going to be a fluffy-bunny, feel-good, typical political campaign for me.  If you have tough relevant questions, bring em' on.  I'm not trying to win a High School popularity or Miss Congeniality contest here folks but actually bring about fiscal sanity, whether elected or not and I'm sure not everyone wants to hear the truth of our dire financial situation. Really, SHOW US THE MONEY!

AND BY SUCH, I HOPE TO EARN YOUR VOTE!!
