Carson City -- The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Carson City District will distribute the new military version of the America the Beautiful Recreational Pass on May 19, at the Spring Wings Festival in Fallon, Nev.
The festival is located at the Churchill County Fairgrounds Complex, off Sheckler Road and Hwy 95- South.
The annual pass will offer free access to some BLM-managed public lands for active duty military members and their dependents. Organizers are asking military personnel to bring an active duty military ID or dependent card to receive your pass.
This military version of the America the Beautiful National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass also permits free entrance to sites managed by the National Park Service, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Bureau of Reclamation, and the U.S. Forest Service. The pass is also available from these agencies.
