Carson City Toys For Tots dangerously low on toys

As the Toys for Tots Coordinator ....
I have never seen demand so high and donations so low.

We have had a 35% increase on requests from families this year.

Ron Wood Family Resource Center has been the Toys for Tots coordinating agency for 8 years and I have been Coordinator for 5 years.

We have been low on toys before ... but never like this.

We are out of toys daily.... We pack for our families at night for the next day. The last 2 nights we could not fully pack for the families the next day. When this happens .... I send our drivers out early... pick up toys... and hurry back to our distribution center to quickly pack toys for afternoon distribution. In addition, I have spent over $8000.00 for supplemental toys.

We are having our last big event at both Carson City and Carson Valley Wal-Mart stores with the Marines from the Bridgeport Warfare Center this Sat. and Sun (12-17 and 12-18) from 9am to 4pm.

Toys that are needed are toys that suit many ages; sporting goods, games, art supplies, etc. Age groups that are particularly needed are the 0 - 3 year olds and the 10 - 16 year olds.

Monetary donations may be made one of two ways; send a check donation to: Payable to: Toys for Tots, c/op Ron Wood Family Resource Center , 2621 Northgate Lane #62, Carson City, NV 89706 or visit our Toys for Tots webpage: http://carson-city-nv.toysfortots.org/local-coordinator-sites/lco-sites/... DONATIONS WILL STAY IN OUR COMMUNITY!

Thank you all for assisting us in these last 9 days !!
Happy Holidays to all!
