Tip-A-Cop to Benefit Special Olympics Nevada

 RENO -- All day today, local law enforcement will work as ‘Celebrity Hosts’ at through a unique program called Tip-A-Cop® to benefit Special Olympics Nevada.

 

From 11 a.m. through 3 p.m. and then again 5 p.m. through 9 p.m., officers will trade in their handcuffs, and Ticket Books for menus and serving trays as they serve food and drinks to restaurant patrons at Applebee's.

 

Lunch and dinner guests will enjoy a fun time with great entertainment, good food and excellent service!  In 2011, ‘Special Tips’ donated to Law Enforcement generated over $35,000.00.

We appreciate all of the guests who stop by and give the officers generous tips to support a very worthy cause.”
