RENO -- Today the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) will host a community workshop to solicit ideas and suggestions from the public for potential improvements to Sutro Street.
The Sutro Complete Street Project will evaluate potential multi-modal transportation improvements to increase mobility and safety for pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists and transit users.
Planned improvements will focus specifically on the travel needs of pedestrians, bicyclists and people with disabilities, as well as related transit service amenities along the corridor.
The RTC wants to hear from the public about some of the specific problem areas along the corridor and receive ideas and suggestions on what specific improvements should be considered for Sutro Street. The public can stop by anytime during the workshop hours. A Spanish-language translator will be available. Children are welcome to attend.
RTC RIDE routes 2, 5 or 15 serve this community to reach Glenn Duncan Elementary School.

The workshop will be held today from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Glenn Duncan Elementary School Cafeteria/Multi-purpose Room on 1200 Montello Street.
