RENO -- The Nevada Highway Patrol continues to investigate the only fatal crash involving a motorcycle during the five-day Street Vibrations event in the Reno-Sparks area.

Sunday morning at around 9:15, officers responded to a vehicle vs. a motorcycle accident at the intersection of Plumb Ln. and Matley Ln. Police say the driver of a full-size truck was traveling eastbound on Plumb Ln. when the vehicle struck a motorcyclist traveling southbound on Matley Ln.

The motorcycle rider was transported to Renown Medical Center for treatment and was pronounced deceased a short while later.

Reno Police Department traffic investigators and officers responded to investigate the accident.  NHP also responded to assist with the investigation.

The investigation is still ongoing.  Alcohol does not appear to be a factor at this time.

The decedent’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
