Wounded veterans' difficulties going through airport security

  • comment(1)

A program designed to help injured veterans go through airport security has been found to need a little help.

California Senator Barbara Boxer has brought this topic to the attention of Airport representatives. She sent a letter to the head of TSA. It says the agency is failing to let severely injured veterans know about a program designed to help them at checkpoints.

Boxer says a toll free number and web site do not quickly connect veterans to the TSA.

The TSA's program for injured veterans is suppose to reduce any difficulties moving through the screening process.

There has been no response yet from the TSA.
