Aces return to Reno for playoffs

RENO -- The Pacific North Division Champion Reno Aces return home Friday night for Game 3 of a best-of-five Pacific Conference Championship series against the Sacramento River Cats.

The Aces earned a 3-1 victory at Raley Field in Sacramento Wednesday night, to gain a 1-0 edge in the series. The teams will play in Sacramento Thursday night before coming to Aces Ballpark for at least one game. Friday night is a guaranteed playoff game, with Saturday and Sunday serving as “if-necessary” games.

Friday night will be highlighted by Saint Mary’s Fireworks Friday presented by KRNV News 4 with post-game fireworks. Rally towels, courtesy of the Aces’ Community Champions partners, will be given out to lucky fans in attendance at the gates.

Kids will be invited to run the bases after the games.

First pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with a 1:05 p.m. first pitch Sunday.
