Broncos Add Veteran CB Law

Posted: 10:36 am PST November 7, 2009

(Sports Network) - The Broncos bolstered their top-ranked defense by adding veteran cornerback Ty Law to the mix on Saturday.

Law spent the first 10 seasons of his career with the Patriots, where current Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels was a defensive coach from 2001-03.

Law spent last season with the New York Jets, playing in seven games and recording 19 tackles. He brings to the Broncos 15 years of experience, having won three Super Bowls with New England. Denver is currently first in the league in yards and points allowed.

For his career, with the Jets, Chiefs and Patriots, Law has 52 interceptions, five forced fumbles and seven touchdowns. He is a five-time Pro Bowl selection.

To make room for the move, the Broncos waived cornerback Jack Williams.
