NHL Game Summary - Phoenix At San Jose

San Jose, CA -- (Sports Network) - Joe Thornton tallied 3:03 into overtime as the San Jose Sharks bested the Phoenix Coyotes, 4-3, in preseason action from the HP Pavilion. Thornton and Patrick Marleau both registered a goal and two assists for the Sharks. Devin Setoguchi and Tomas Plihal also found the back of the net. Evgeni Nabokov stopped 14-of-17 shots to get the win. Olli Jokinen had a goal and an assist to pace the Desert Dogs. Alex Bourret and Garth Murray also lit the lamp, while Al Montoya made 31 saves in the loss.
