Penn State Brandywine, located in Media, Pennsylvania, is a teaching, learning and research institution for undergraduate education and for lifelong learning with a current enrollment of 1,700 students. The campus has been formerly known as Penn State Delaware County and Penn State Lima. The campus offers baccalaureate and associate degrees and certificate programs taught by award-winning faculty. Penn State Brandywine offers the resources of an internationally renowned University in a smaller, more intimate setting. The campus is nestled on over 90 acres (360,000 m2) of beautiful grounds[citation needed], 30 miles (48 km) from Philadelphia and within a few hours of New York, Baltimore and Washington, DC.
