Vegas Q&A: Which Hotels Offer Shuttles?
Updated: 11:14 a.m. EDT May 19, 2003 Question: Do any hotels offer free shuttles between properties? If so, could you list them and how they run? I enjoy your column very much. Thank you. James in Winter Springs, Fla.
Answer: Thank you, James. I enjoy writing my column very much. Some hotels offer shuttles between properties, but before I list the current ones, please note that hotels change stuff like this all the time. Just because a hotel is offering a shuttle this week doesn't mean it will be next week. Harrah's offers a shuttle to its sister property, Rio, and back again. You can also catch one at Harrah's that will take you out to Sam's Town on Boulder Highway. Sam's Town also offers shuttles to sister properties Fremont, Main Street Station, and the California in the Downtown area, plus Bourbon Street and the Stardust on the Strip. The Orleans, just west of the Strip, offers shuttle service to its sister properties Gold Coast (near the Rio) and Barbary Coast. The Hard Rock has a shuttle that runs between the Fashion Show Mall, the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, and the Stardust. Several of the other locals joints scattered around town offer limited shuttle service, but usually only between related hotels. For schedules, you'll have to call ahead -- it varies depending on which shuttle you plan to take, and to where. If you have a question you'd like to submit, click here.
