Mike Mibach is an Emmy nominated and Associated Press award-winning journalist. He joined the KTVU Channel 2 News team in March 2005.

Mike was raised in Novato and San Francisco where he attended St. Ignatius College Prep School. He earned his AA degree from the College of Marin before transferring to the University of Colorado at Boulder where he graduated in 2000 from the School of Journalism with a degree in Broadcast News. While attending school in Colorado, he also worked as a reporter for CNN’s student bureau in Boulder and at a local cable station.

By August of 2000 he ventured to the heartland of America and began reporting for WIBW, a CBS affiliate in Topeka, Kansas. He then went west to KVOA-TV in Tucson, Arizona to work as a Reporter/Anchor.

Mike is a diehard San Francisco 49ers and Giants fan. He loves the sun, running, golf, frisbee, mountain biking, water skiing and snow skiing.

Mike and his wife live in the North Bay.
