Space Shuttle Cargo Heads For Launch Pad
Orbiter, Boosters Set To Move Tuesday

The cargo for the space shuttle Discovery will roll out to a Florida launch pad Monday as NASA prepares to return the shuttle to space next month.The cargo includes a new stabilizing gyroscope for the international space station. It will be moved to the pad at the Kennedy Space Center ahead of the shuttle.

Discovery rolled to the pad in April but was rolled back because of concerns over the possibility of ice forming on the shuttle's tank once it was filled with super-cold fuel.It has since been fitted with a new fuel tank equipped with a heater. The orbiter is expected to roll out Tuesday.Discovery's launch will mark the first shuttle flight since the Columbia disaster in 2003. It is set to go up between July 13 and July 31.
