Reno Bighorns fall to Rio Grande Valley Vipers

RENO - The Reno Bighorns late rally in the fourth wasnt enough to salvage the game, and the Rio Grande Valley Vipers won 126-119.  The Bighorns are now 24-18 this season.

There were four lead changes in the first quarter but the Vipers biggest lead was eight points. Rio Grande Valley finished the quarter up 21-18.

The Bighorns came back in the second quarter and led 50-47 going into halftime.  Trent Lockett scored 11 points in the first half and Bryan Davis added 9 rebounds.  The Houston Rockets assignment player, Robert Covington, gave 16 points to the Vipers.

The Vipers took back the lead early in the third quarter going on a 7-0 run and led the entire quarter. Going into the fourth quarter, Rio Grande Valley led by 16 points, 90-74. Covington had another big quarter with 14 points for the Vipers.  Mo Charlo and Bryan Davis each had 7 points in the quarter for the Bighorns.

Reno attempted to make a surge in the final quarter, getting within 7 points twice in the quarter, but it wasnt enough to take the lead.

The Reno Bighorns next home game is tonight, March 18th at 7:00 p.m. against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
